I offer digital alignment screening reports for my Restorative Exercise™ (RE) clients. The screening report will give you information about your structural alignment and be extremely helpful when designing an exercise and movement program tailored to your individual needs.

Knowing where you are at in space can be very challenging when first starting an alignment program, so seeing where you are in comparison to optimal alignment is extremely helpful.  It’s not about judging yourself or being perfect, it’s just information. The screening is not required but is offered as a complimentary service to my RE clients.

After your screening and RE session, you will receive an email report of the digital photo and alignment findings.

Here is a sample report:

Not in Portland, no problem?  I offer SKYPE appointments.  For SKYPE, appointments send me the following:

  •  a full-length photo of you from the front (see note below before getting started)
  • a full-length RIGHT-side view (not the left)
  • height
  • weight.

*Note: Wear form fitting clothes for the picture. Leggings, yoga pants, and sports bra or bathing suit work well. Stand in your natural stance for the photos.

Note on alignment: It may be tempting to force yourself to “correct your posture”, but if you do, you could be doing more damage. Alignment is not forcing your body into a certain position, that’s called posture.  (Side note: Notice the report says “posture.” This application is not affiliated with the Restorative Exercise Institute, some professions may use the words interchangeably. )   How you get there matters!
